Friday Five – May 6th, 2016

The internet is a wondrous place. Never ceases to amaze me how much time i can spend getting lost down the rabbit hole. Below are some fun finds this week.

  1. How many emojis have you never used?
  2. See? Everyone loves the Brits !
  3. Accept the ride“.
  4. I really want to be a morning smoothie person. This recipe is quite tempting.
  5. Still on my spring cleaning list – major closet cleanout.

Happy Friday friends, and have a fabulous weekend!

C. Wonder Back on QVC

Anyone remember the retail & online store, C. Wonder? Started by Chris Burch (yes, ex-husband of Tory Burch) in 2011, C. Wonder specialized in preppy, kitschy clothing, accessories, and home goods at a fabulously low price point. It took me about a year to learn of the website but once I did, I. Was. Obsessed. Particularly with the shoes (shocking, I know). At the top of its game, it seemed that there was new, fresh merchandise every week and equally frequent sales, which my wallet particularly appreciated.

A Day at the Huntington Library & Gardens

Living in LA is amazing – you never have to eat at the same place twice, have access to the beach, the mountains, the desert and wine country all within a few hours, and can go see all your favorite game shows for free (anyone up for The Price is Right taping??); however, it is a large city with many people and can sometimes feel a bit suffocating.

It was with that mindset that R and I recently set out to discover the Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena, CA. and HOLY COW we were not disappointed. One of my new favorite places!

One of the things I most love about this drink is that it’s so simple! Only 3 key ingredients (okay, and ice) and a million ways to vary from the classic to create whatever you’re feeling at that moment.

Today, I’d like to share 3 Mint Julep recipes I’ll be sipping on from now through summer. If you have a favorite mint julep recipe, let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for new ways to mix them up. First up, the classic –
